SN HOLIDAY GUIDE INCLUDES...
(1 December 2002, 23:54 | MoO3) Shacknews` "Holiday Buying Guide 2002" includes Quicksilver Software`s Master of Orion III. Writes Jason "loonyboi" Bergman:
Old school strategy gamers probably are already salivating at the thought of a new [MoO3] game, but this new one adds enough to the core formula that it should appeal to newcomers as well. [..] [W]hereas the first two games in the series limited you to a small section, [this instalment] takes things to the next level...
Bergman also makes a comment at the end of his summary of the game consistent with earlier indications as to the turn-based strategy title`s anticipated release date:
Note that this game has been bumped back to the week before Christmas, so it’ll have to be a last-minute gift for many of you.
MoO3 appears third on SN` list after The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind/Tribunal and Neverwinter Nights, the latter of which is also being published by Infogrames. For additional MoO3 release date coverage of recent, click here. - DanQ
