Spore UFO contest

Help yourself to an AD-FREE life

Time for another contest? This one's for those who's got the game

PM me up to two of your UFOs before the end of the month to enter the contest, then let the voting begin

The PM should contain the png file needed to load the UFO in my game (or a link to the UFO in your profile)

The winner wins the right to brag about winning this contest

No criteria as long as it's made in the UFO editor. But if you want to win you might want to make an UFO worth voting for

Maybe I am just an idiot, but how do I do either of these things? If I bring up my UFO "Eye See You" on My Spore, all that is there is a picture (not at the most flattering angle either!). How do I export a .png file?

Browse Apolyton AD-FREE

Just link to the ufo in your profile in a pm, then I can get the ufo

To download a creature/ufo/building/whatever just right click on the picture and click "save as" or something like that. This opens up the dialog box to download the png file to your computer (which is how you can get a creature/whatever found on spore.com into your game, you save the png file in your documents/my creatures/"type" directoy)

The best U.F.O. from each battle will go to the finals (in case of a tie, both U.F.O.s goes to the finals)

First round will end next sunday

Due to coloring of some of the U.F.O.s it became quite difficult to see the final result completely, U.F.O. editor doesn't have the same functions as creature editor for exporting pictures (at least not as far as I could see)...

Woohoo! I knew stopping by the local "Pimp my UFO" shop before I entered my spaceship would pay off!

Seriously, there was some good competition here, especially from MMC's and Guynemer's ships. And an all-around good contest by Adegio as well.

Hopefully once Spore gets fleshed out with some real gaming content we'll all be back here playing the game for real.
