Be a nice touch to have an XP/Vista native version of the original game as a bonus.

They've already stated they will be making the original available free of charge shortly (as they did in the PCGamer magazine for September).
It works via DosBox.

It's effectively native. It's a custom implementation of DosBox that doesn't require you to do any dos-ing ... you just run a shortcut, and it opens Col with sound and everything, without any work on your part. About as native as you'll ever get without completely rewriting the program...
And why would you hate DosBox, anyway. It's a quite amazing program...

also there is a program called ´advanced game loader´, which runs in conjunction with the DOS-Box and allows you to store config-setups for the various games and start them with a click.
Is ColWin also free now ?

Jonah, I think when 2Kgames posts the version on their site it'll be native- just like they did for Railroad Tycoon.

They've already stated it will be the custom DosBox version, which is effectively native.
