If you wish to be a CASUAL PLAYER then please post in this thread.
For the purposes of this thread, CASUAL PLAYER is defined as someone who would like to participate in this gaming experience, but doesn't want to create and organize a team, or have to play the turns. This person would like to limit their activity to posting their opinions on strategic matters in their teams private forum.
If that sounds like the sort of thing you are interested in then please post below........

I might be able to play a turn in a pinch, but don't count on me on a regular basis.

Another casual reporting in. (Is this best for a total beginner in such a game? I would like to have some say but don't necessarily want to play turns, don't know yet. It'd be nice to be in charge of something though)
Either this or a Turn player.

My view is bit like some above.
I also imagine I could play a turn or two if needed.

Do you think there would be any merit in having teams composed mostly from players from roughly similar parts of the world.
As has been posted we are likely to have a 'Spanish' team and in the Warlords there is the sort Southern Cross team.
So why not more teams with a geographical core like this.
This might encourage CFC guys to participate and not turn the BTS DG into an Intersite Demogame.
So for example:
North Europe
South Europe
Africa
Asia
USA/Canada
Southern America
Australia /NZ
and if enough players, further subdivisions.
Oh and there would be no requirement to choose a civ from the geographical area of the team.
there is no Aboriginal/OZ/ NZ/Maori civ leader, so that might lead to some discussion.

I think it's okay if people want to do that but teams should be formed by free association. Also, it's in a team's best interest to have two potential turnplayers in opposite timezones. >.>
